Preview: Grizzlies vs Nuggets
Tonight your Memphis Grizzlies will return to FedEx Forum for the second time this week, this time to face off against the Denver Nuggets. It will be the fourth and final meeting of these two teams, and the Grizzlies are looking to sweep the season series tonight, as well as putting an end to a three-game losing streak.
But don’t expect this Denver team to go out like a lamb. Their record might not reflect it, but these Nuggets have some fight in them still. Let’s hope for their sake the Grizzlies have more.
A couple thoughts going into tonight’s game:
Can the Grizzlies get a 20 and 10 night from number 50 for the city?
Word is that Zach Randolph *is* expected to play in tonight’s matchup with the Nuggets. Which is excellent news for this injury-riddled Grizzlies team, and they are going to need the big fella to come ready to work.
Are we even trying to guess what starting lineups and in-game rotations will look like anymore? (Spoiler Alert: No)
Or at least I’m not. We have officially reached the point I might have to make a spreadsheet just to keep up with who is hurt, who is not, and just plain who is who. At least once in the last several games I’ve had a “wait, who is that guy?” moment, usually more than one. This team is cobbled together with sticks and string and 10-day contracts right now, hell there might be some duct tape and chewing gum in there somewhere as well.
