Dave Joerger, Western Conference Coach of the Month
The NBA announced Coach Dave Joerger as the Western Conference Coach of the Month.
Joerger guided the Grizzlies to a league best 15-2 (.882) mark for games played in October/November. Memphis held opponents to a league-best 92.4 points and surrendered 100-plus points just four times. The Grizzlies’ two losses came by one point and four points. The Grizzlies are the only team in the NBA that owns a perfect record against conference opponents (11-0). They are also the only team in the NBA with an undefeated mark at home (8-0). A former NBA Development League head coach, Joerger guided the Dakota Wizards to the D-League championship in 2007.
Congratulations Coach Joerger. Grizz fans everywhere are proud of this accomplishment that puts the spotlight on the team. This is the third time Coach Joerger has received such an honor. He previously was Western Conference Coach of the Month for January 2014 and April 2014 which was his first year as head coach of the Grizzlies.
I predicted he should be coach of the month back on November 21, 2014
