Takeaways
This season for the Memphis Grizzlies has been pretty remarkable so far. Unfortunately, the struggle has been real but they find ways to get over the hump. No matter what has been thrown their way, they find ways to overcome adversity. The Grizzlies are currently 5-1 since Mike Conley’s injury.
The @memgrizz have played an @NBA-high 10 games that have been decided by 5 or fewer points.
They've won all 10 of those games. #GrindCity

What They Said!
David Fizdale on a tough schedule coming up:
“I see opportunity in front of us. I’m different. Everybody else can talk about this buzz saw and all these great teams we play. I see opportunity to beat great teams. I just got a lot of faith in this team no matter who is on the court for us. Obviously, we got into one game at a time trying to win. We fear no one. I know everyone else is looking at the schedule and kind of cringing, but I’m looking forward to it. I want to play against the elites even when we’re down different guys because no matter what, the guys that are on the court, it’s going to be great for them and it’s going to be a great environment. Like I said, I just have a lot of confidence and faith in this group.”
Marc Gasol on his impact on winning and current stretch of strong performances:
“Everybody that’s been here a long time knows that I couldn’t care less about numbers. I care that we get wins. They’re not pretty wins, but we’re getting them. The guys are believing, and obviously when we have five or six guys out, it’s easy to count us out, but we find a way to win, and anybody that steps onto the court feels that. We just find a way. Even when you win, or if you lose, it’s next game, next chance, next challenge, and that’s how we go about it.”
Very proud of my teammates, every single one. Thanks to the city for their support, it means everything to us!#GrindCity pic.twitter.com/W6n4tQxPHW
